News:
Dr Gontero researches the efficacy of Andropenis® to correct penis curvature
Doctor Gontero conducted a study among men suffering a penile curvature of up to 50 degrees. He prescribed them the use of the Andropenis® device in order to verify if the tension force exerted by the device could effectively reduce the curvature (Peyronie's disease) and relieve their discomfort.
After a period of 6 months of use, the patients ascertained a significant improvement in their penile curvature.
Even if Peyronie's disease usually leads to a shortening of the penis, the patients who participated in the study noted a significant lengthening of the penis in both flaccid and erect state.
What's more, the finding corroborates the safety profile of the treatment with Andropenis® as opposed to the detrimental effect of surgery on sexual function.
The very positive results obtained make this minimally invasive treatment modality a new treatment option for Peyronie's disease patients.
The study was first presented in May 2008 at the American Urological Association Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida and was also published in last February 2009 issue of the prestigious Journal of Sexual Medicine.
Andropenis® in the Kazajstán Medical Congress
Last May, Almaty, the largest city in Kazajstan, was converted into the venue for one of the most important medical congresses in Asia.
Doctor Nugmanov, the famous Urologist from Kazajstan, elaborated on the usefulness of the Andropenis® as a medical device for clinical applications. This is backed up by his own professional experience, and by the device's proven efficiency and safety as shown scientifically at a world level.
The participation of Doctor Nugmanov has again shown the importance of the Andropenis® in Asia, principally among doctors, pharmacists and patients, as a device whose medical applications include treatment of Peyronie's and other penis curvatures, to avoid scar retraction after surgery, and to enlarge the penis in a safe, effective and permanent way.
The Andropenis® is accredited by the CMDCAS
The Canadian Medical Devices Conformity Assessment System (CMDCAS) is a system designed to implement Canadian regulations requiring that medical devices are designed and manufactured under a registration quality management system.
The CMDCAS reviews medical devices to assess their safety, effectiveness and quality before being authorized for sale in Canada.
Usually, medical devices that pass CMDCAS examination are quite "standard" (surgical instruments, infusion pumps, contraceptive devices, etc.). Nevertheless, in late 2007, the CMDCAS gave its permission to the Andropenis® to enter the Canadian market, becoming the first penis extensor to enjoy this quality certification.
Andromedical at the 10th Congress of the ESSM

Eminent urologists from all over Europe took the opportunity to present their scientific studies carried out on the andropenis® through its application on a representative sample of patients. Dr Gontero from Italy, Dr Petrovich from Russia and Dr Moncada from Spain scientifically demonstrated the efficiency and safety of the Andropenis® as a treatment for Peyronie's disease, to achieve a permanent enlargement of the penis as well as to avoid scar retraction after a penile surgery.
